Hello, I'm Elizabeth J Floyd - Arts & Culture aficionado, founder of this site and one of your Arts & Culture companions. 

In creating this service, my intention is to enable others to experience the joy, excitement and fulfillment that this vibrant culture-abundant city has on offer.  (read more about us)

Arts, Culture and the making of a Londonophile

As an Australian whose passion for London was ignited the moment my feet hit its story-filled streets, I have been lucky to live right at its very heart with London's cultural smorgasbord served up on the doorstep.

I dived in and simply never stopped swimming in London's pool of possibility.  My arts education included playwriting with The Royal Court Theatre; Art History at the RA; Sculpture and Creative Writing, all while immersing myself in theatre - from West End to fringe; hidden galleries to major institutions and museums; intimate concerts and major works at the Royal Opera House and Albert Hall.

It all started with Princess Diana... the Companion concept

While clearly it's a while back now, it's still fresh in my memory... the absolute privilege of being companion to Princess Diana for an unforgettable day. When considering my foray into setting up this Arts & Culture Companion service, this experience put me in good stead.  I deduced, if I can do it for Princess Diana... :)

On top of this and another couple of royal encounters, 2 decades of designing and delivering special local and international events which had me working with politicians, business leaders, celebrities as well as with refugees and the homeless; with students, graduates, academics and activists.

What all this means to my clients is that as their Companion - they can be confident they're in safe hands and headed for a great experience.
